Wednesday
Had a good session on wednesday. It was quite windy, but Lewis headed out on his 6.6 and I went out on my 7.2. It was really good, quite flat and perfect sideshore. We were working on our planing exits for most of the day. Then the rain came and killed the wind, so we headed in. We're both off school for 3 months, so loads of windsurfing!

Windy Westerly
Had a class session out yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately I only had my 4.7 as my 5.3's down in Kerry getting repaired. But when the squalls came through it was great and was having a great time. Lewis was bombing it on his 5.3. The tide was unbelievebly strong so it was better just to tack to gain more ground. We had to cut our session a bit short to do rescue which was a bit annoying, but we had a blast. Should be heading out today again at the Burrow for some more wind, but minus the sun!

Sunny session
We had a savage sessin today from 12-4:30 at the Burrow Beach. The forcast was wrong and the breeze was really strong. We went out on our 7 metre's, a few pumps and you were on the plane it was magic. It was great only wearing boardies and a rash vest and still being warm! A really good long day on the water. We've both cracked our first goal of getting 30 knots so now were aiming for 35.

Speed Sailing Session
Had an epic session yesterday night. JK, Alastair and Steve headed to the Burrow and were having a blast. Me and Lewis headed out around half 5 and were really enjoying it. The tide was good until around half 6, and heading back up the speed strip I hit the bottom. JK was flying down at 32 knots and I started shouting ITS TOO SHALLOW!!! But he was too busy doing an interesting dance.... Then hit the sand and went flying! He split his fin in two nearly... Looked epic! A short while before I was heading up the strip and decided to bear away to get some speed up, hit the sand going pretty fast, catapulted hard and put my head through my sail. Then I headed out at around 7 thinking the depth would be ok but pretty much did the same thing but smacked my head off my mast! Steve said I literly went flying! I had to head in around half eight and wasnt too disappointed as I felt real dizzy... Lewis and the guys stayed out past dark until half ten! Hope to see more people there as its a real good location for most directions apart from southerly.

Friday and Saturday Session
We both went out on Friday after school and had a savage speed session. The wind was strong for a good two hours which gave us loads of fast runs, unfortunatley our free trial for the GPS viewing and uploading program has run out so were not 100% sure on our speeds.
After picking up my new sail in surfdock on Saturday morning I headed out staright away when I got back. Yet again the forcast was wrong and there was plenty of wind and the tide was high so It was good for blasting out to sea. Unfortunatley Ryan couldn't make it as he was sailing, but it was still good craic.
Hopefully the good wind and weather will stay!

Fleadh Seoil
Had a really good weekend at Fleadh Seoil in Malahide. I wasn't there on Saturday as I had ehh school problems... But Lewis had a great time on SUP's and on a 9 meter and Bic Techno Pro. Sunday brought moderate winds and loads of sun. I headed out early on my 5.3 and was planning most of the time. Had some good craic racing but then the wind slackened off a bit so I headed out on my 7.2. Lewis was burning around on his 7.4 for all of the day.
Monday brought high winds but some rain. I headed out on my 4.7 and 69L JP wave board in the morning which was good fun. I headed out on my futura after and soon rigged up to my 5.3. I was jumping over a bouy just at the end of the slip outside the club, and was soon told it had a concrete block with a metal rod sticking out of it! Oops.. It was great to see some freestyle action with some nice front loops... Even saw Oisin fly out of his straps in mid flight!
Thanks to everyone who organized it, We had a great time.
