Burrow Session 2
Today wasn't as great as yesterday, but we got some good runs in. The wind was really weird, you could hear it and there was a load of waves over the sand bank, but you didn't get the feeling that it was really windy. We even sometimes couldn't get on the plane. It was good to get some lightwind freestyle, sailing clew first and some upwind 360's. I tried a duck gybe (failed miserably!) and when I was planning some body drags (which are really scary!) but kept failing to hop back onto a planning board(or hop back onto the board at all!). Lewis has really got his gybes down, getting closer to that seemingly impossible planning exit! We both got quite close yesterday, but then we went for some wave sailing. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some wind that we didn't get today.
I think I got 22 knots on my GPS but my computers really annoying and won't let me upload it, and Lewis got 23 knots.
I think we're going to both need a break after this easter break after the amount of windsurfing we've been doing!

Cold session at Kilcrea
We went out at kilcrea today, it took a while for the wind to get up but it was really good when it came. There was loads of chop which ryan kept hopping off which looked class. We both got a max speed of 24 knots which wasn't great after getting 27 last week. We hope the forcast stays as the burrow beach is looking good for some waves towards the end of the week. Unfortunatley we havent got any pictures as we were too busy having fun on the water to come in and take some! We hope to see loads of people on the burrow this week as its a great spot that has yet to discovered by windsurfers. To get directions to the Burrow Beach type it in on google earth and it should come up.

Making the most of the light wind and sunny weather!
After working on the shed today we decided to go out on the skimboards. In only boardies it wasnt too cold and was great fun. We got in some 360 turns but that was it for tricks! Kilcrea looks good for Sunday afternoon so we hope to see some of you there.

Low tide session
We got out in the end today, the tide went out pretty far so it was ok for offshore wind. It was really gusty as it was coming over and around houses and trees! Got to use my GPS for the first time and got 27 knots max speed which was good, so my goal is to beat that now. Heres a link to my result if anyones interested in having a look.

Burrow Session
Had a sick session at the Burrow this morning. It was high tide and really windy with loads of chop. Lewis is still away but I headed out with a friend who also lives on the beach down from Lewis. I Headed out on my 5.3, and he headed out on a 6.5. We soon realized it was quite windy and with my board hopping off the chop I was flying everywhere! I rigged down to my 4.7 and I was really enjoying it. Was trying to do a shove it, but after two I think I 'shoved' the sail too far into the wind and got creased as the sail was back-winded and flew back on top of me! I had a bit of trouble being dazed and trying to get my feet out of the straps under water. Hopefully will get out to Kilcrea tomorrow and try some more with the class wind.

Wave Session
I headed out today at the Burrow. It was complete offshore, and Lewis went away to a football match in the morning so I was a tad worried! Anyway, I rigged up my 4.7 and headed out on my 69 litre JP wave board. It was really manoeuvrable and for my first time out in strong winds it was really great. I headed out past the sand bank where there was waves around thigh high. They were savage for jumping with the offshore winds! I attempted a front loop... Moved back hand further back, look towards the beach when going up wave.. Oh my god I'm going to make...SPLASH!! Ah well it was pretty cool bringing my head out of the water and not knowing where I was! The waves were ok to surf, got a couple of bottom turns in but every time I tried hitting the lip I would just go through the wave. As the wind died I started to head back to the beach. I then realized how far I was out! However I was never out of my depth so it was great. Hopefully will get some strong winds.

Irish Slalom Series(Day Two)
Today was the final day, the wind didn't fill in enough for any races so there were a few fun races. I used my new 7.4 loft 02 freeride, which suprisingly was heavy but when on the plane it flew! Ive ordered my new mast and boom so I should have them in a couple of days. Check out my for sale section ive added some gear.
Mikey and Andy have just made some new vids check them out.

Irish Slalom Series Round 1 Day 1
We had a brilliant first day of slalom racing today. It was great fun, everyone was really sound and the day was brilliant, not sure about the results though. There were about seventy competitors so it wasn't as easy as we thought it would be! Up until late afternoon there was plenty of wind and a bit of chop. Will have some pictures soon.
